Importance of Sitemap

Sitemaps provide an opportunity for web sites, specify what pages within the site should be indexed and what new content has been added. In principle, it provides a channel of communication between the search engine and website.
Map (or site) is a graphical representation of architecture web site. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page with a list of pages on the web site, typically organized in a hierarchical order.
